Welcome to the new web site!
Welcome to the new Brighton & Hove District Scouting web site. On 1st January 2011 the districts of Brighton and Hove & Portslade amalgamated to form the new district of Brighton & Hove.
David Simon, District Commissioner of Brighton & Hove said:
The new web site builds on the success of the previous Brighton web site. It’s the place to go for information about Brighton & Hove Scouting. For the public, there’s basic news and contact information, but I hope that it’s for the adults in Brighton & Hove Scouting that the website can make the most difference.
Over the next month all adults in the District will be allocated a user name and password which will allow them access to an ever growing treasure trove of resources.
To complement the District website, we’ve refreshed our campsite’s website too. The new Parkwood web site is available from the 'Parkwood Campsite' link on www.brightonandhovescouts.org.uk, or directly by visiting www.parkwoodcampsite.org.uk.

I'm excited to announce the forth incarnation of the district and Parkwood web sites to compliment the new www.brightonandhovescouts.org.uk web address!
Believe it or not, the first district web site was first published to the Internet in 2000!
We have a little history of the web sites on the meet the web development team page.
Some very exciting additions to the web sites are planned for the coming months!
With this version we focus on building a community between members and expanding on allowing our members to contribute to different aspects of the web site.
