Great success for the 30th Brighton Annual Fete

Written by Justin Cruttenden.

On Saturday 28th June 2008, 30th Brighton Scout Group, based north of Brighton held its annual fete organised by leaders and lay members in the group. The event was a great success for a number of reasons. Firstly due to the number of stands and activities at the event, which included Beavers, Cubs and Scouts taking part in a It's a Knockout event. Secondly, the group organised, with assistance of Brighton's District Commissioner Dave Jackson and Sharon Magee (ADC Beaver Scouts) a development stand that made a number of contacts in the community with children and adults who would like to join Scouting. Finally, the group raised much needed funds for the day to day running of the group. The 30th would like to thank all those Leaders, Helpers, Young Leaders and Lay members who organised the event and making the event such an success again. Another 30th Fete will be held in 2009 and will be advertised on this site, so watch this space.
