New District and Parkwood Web Sites Unveiled

Written by Justin Cruttenden.

Today the Brighton District Scout Council unveiled the new look District web site and the brand new Parkwood Campsite web site.

The new Parkwood web site is available from the 'Parkwood Campsite' link on www.brightonscouts.org.uk, or directly by visiting www.parkwoodcampsite.org.uk.

The two web sites were designed to compliment each other by sharing a common look and feel, while at the same time allowing Parkwood Campsite to be promoted completely independently of the District web site.

Dave Jackson, District Commissioner of Brighton commented

The site is intended to be working tool for the twelve Scout Groups, three Explorer Scout Units and the Network Scout Unit that makes up the District. It is further intended to be an information source for visitors to the site.

The District web site was first published on the 1st September 2000 and has already celebrated it's seventh year! During that time the web site has evolved dramatically in both content and technology to a fully scalable, multiple user, content management system.

The new web sites are the result of the blood, sweat, tears, and dedication shown by the web site team, running to hundreds of hours work over the years.

The Brighton District web site, and now the Parkwood Campsite web site will continue to grow and be enhanced.
