Cubs' Bivouac Camp

Written by Duncan Hill.

On the 1st to the 3rd of April, 15th Brighton Cubs held a highly successful bivouac camp at Parkwood.

After a night in the bunkhouse, the Cubs built bivouacs in the woods, and then practised safe firelighting skills. After a hearty dinner those Cubs who wanted to slept out overnight in their bivouacs - all had a good night's sleep and were up bright and early next morning.

Special thanks go to the parent helpers who came out over the camp to lend a hand with food and games, and to the Regency Explorer Unit for sharing their bivouac building skills with the Cubs.

A special well done to Helen, ACSL, who gained her Nights Away permit on the camp.
